THE QUEEN’S OWN YEOMANRY IN MALTA

This was the first overseas dive trip that I was the Expedition Leader of, diving the many shipwrecks around Malta.

One of the Dive Supervisors unfortunately had a heart attack 6 weeks before we were to depart, I volunteered to take his place, which meant I needed training.

After a week at JSSADC and some intense diving scenarios, I was qualified as a Sub Aqua Diving Supervisor (SADS).

We’ve since been back to Malta in 2018 and 2019, the wrecks and sites are a European Mecca for divers of all levels and interests. I can’t wait to go back.
