SHARK ENCOUNTERS
Our visit to Lanzarote took us to the volcanic waters off Puerto del Carmen, where a series of wrecks lie scattered across the seabed. Each dive offered a glimpse into the island’s underwater history, with the wrecks now transformed into thriving artificial reefs.

We kept a hopeful watch for angel sharks, known to rest camouflaged against the sandy bottom. While sightings are never guaranteed, the anticipation was part of the experience — a reminder that encounters with wildlife are always on nature’s terms.

Exploring these wrecks, shaped by time and tide, made the trip as much about discovery and patience as it was about the dives themselves.
